Logline
Six kids and one dog, each carrying an ability nobody can explain, come up as artists in golden-era New York — and the whole city is their canvas.
Synopsis
Short (50 words)
Grafscals is an original animated series about a crew of six kids — and one very large dog — coming up as graffiti writers and musicians in 1980s–90s New York City. Each of them carries a gift tied to their craft: speed, stealth, a voice that stops rooms. The city is their canvas.
Long (150 words)
New York City, back when the trains still ran covered in color. Six kids from six different corners of the city meet at a subway rail yard nobody else uses — the A Yard — where steel cars become canvases and beats echo off the trestle overhead.
Each of them is an artist first. Fast leads the crew and paints a whole piece before you finish exhaling. Ambidextrous works two turntables with hands that move independently. Acro scales anything that stands over the city. Floe can hold a crowd still with his voice. Boost gets his hands on whatever the crew needs without ever being seen. Yung Fry, the youngest, has no powers at all — so he built a glove that talks to traffic lights instead. And Kilo, the pit bull Fry rescued, is all tail-wag until somebody threatens his people.
Grafscals is a story about craft, loyalty, and getting your name up — told at the speed of a subway car.
